Cratloe Celtic was founded in June 2001 and has progressed steadily in the
last 5 years. In our first year we entered and won the 3rd Division of the
Clare league and the 2nd Division title was landed the
following year. A third consecutive promotion was achieved in 2003-04,
which put Cratloe Celtic into the Premier Division of Clare Soccer. On the
back of the first team success a Youths Team and ‘B’ Team were set up.
Cratloe
Celtic is one of the youngest clubs playing in the CPSL. The Club was
founded in 2001. Schoolboy soccer started in the 2005-06 season with the
establishment of an U11 and an U15 side.
In
2006-07 the club fielded U10 , U11 , U16 and Youths as well as two adult
teams drawn from the rapidly growing population of Cratloe and surrounding
areas. In 2005-06 the U11 team was promoted to Div 1 and in 2006-07 they
reached the Cup semi final. The aim of the Club is to provide the
opportunity for children to enjoy football in a safe and friendly
environment. The Club recognises that the well being of the child comes
first.
